Thanks very much! It's actually not too hard to do, especially in wool. I can fit all four panels of my dresses onto a single width of cloth, so I do my mock-ups right in the good cloth - I sew the shoulders and the panels along their approximate seamlines from hip to armhole/neckline without cutting anything and try it on, fiddle, sew new lines, and repeat until it fits perfectly. Wool stretches naturally, so it's pretty easy to fit. =)
