Well, not really or nearly as good as the ones in the game, but I appreciate the compliment! 
Yep, the plot AND the characters. I like having a big variety of which you can choose your favourites. But if you're stuck with only two characters who you don't even like... too bad. XDD

Yes, yes and the characters- can't have a good plot without good characters- I think the game did well developing them^^
hehe well Serah had improved in the second one- I didn't like her much in the first one at all
As for Noel- he was alright- preferred Snow though, and Caius is so cool, and Yeul was just another Serah- though her story was better^^
Well hopefully they release Versus on the PS3 as well as the PS4 because to be honest I don't want the latter one- it has no appeal for me XD

Actually I started to despise Serah only in FF13-2. In FF13-1 I found her relationship with Snow really cute and adorable. Mostly from Snow's side though.
But then in FF13-2 she suddenly seems to have stopped caring about her fiancé completely and "eloped" with Noel instead. And that after all Snow did to protect and save her. Hrmpf.
I was only in love with Caius's deep voice. XD As soon as I looked at him I burst out laughing. Square Enix just doesn't seem to be able to create ONE FinalFantasy game without at least one androgynous man. lol

Fang and Lightning are exceptions because they are strong and self-confident characters and not whiny/emo or overly trying to be what most people think is "kawaii" (best example: Vanille) or crap like that.

Hope got better as soon as he stopped being a whiny emo kid with his annoying talking about "revenge".
I also always wondered why he was on so bad terms with his dad. I mean, when they met everything seemed fine and harmonic between them, right? When Hope said that he despised his father I thought that maybe the guy had left his wife and son, was a criminal or helped the enemies etc. But then he turned out to be a normal father who was mourning his wife's death and was glad and relieved that his son made it back in one piece.
Well, I guess it was only Hope's teenage mood swings or sth.
Oh God, words can't even describe how much Vanille got on my nerves. Vanille combines everything that I hate about the average Japanese girl character: A lolita, walking, posing and moving to make her what the developers probably considers to look "cute" or "kawaii", but REALLY looking like a total retard with spasms. Then she's wearing less clothes than the most salacious prostitute AND last but not least: Her insanely awful high-pitched voice. Oh God, I could slap her everytime she opens her mouth.
