I sorta like what Switzerland does with their conscription what with military training in using guns and psychological testing. Mind you, the idea of reapplying the draft is about as popular as the Black Plague...

To be fair, I am not speaking of their mandatory military service and weapons trainings . I was merely speaking to the yearly gun tests to ensure the people know how to use guns..

I personally am against the idea of a draft, ESPECIALLY with a country like America that seems to stick its nose in everyone's business anyway.. now imagine instead of a volunteer army... they could just say if you are between XX-XX you must serve or go to jail.. imagine how many more conflicts we would be in..

I'm all for gun training honestly :P

True.

 me too, which is why I was surprised that my conservative friends agreed with the yearly or bi yearly test to show you know how to use the damn thing...

I think even Rick Perry supported that, how funny it is that I'm in agreement with this jackass governor.

Lmao, but as far as law goes.. I do not see any law that would pass a Republican house for every few years saying they must take a gun test..

The thing is, it won't pass as long as they see compromise as treason. The same goes with the radical elements of the Democratic party. I sorta see 2014 as the year for a change in the status quo because people like me or my father are getting real tired of this constant gridlock and I've come to believe that eventually we're going to see a third party rise up.

... I do not see a third party rising up by 2014, but perhaps that is just me..

Perhaps you will see more moderate voices in both parties but I see for the near future at least these two will still have control as far as parties go
