Haha I love it, I must ask though, I know Amp resistance is via cleavage (with Penicillinase) and thereby destruction of the antibiotic, however I thought Spectinomycin resistance was via hyperactive efflux pumps? So wouldn't that mean that the Amp(R)Spec(S) strain would die? Leaving only the Amp(S)Spec(R) strain?

I know this is way over 2 years old. I hope you got your PhD and stuff, good piece and if you included this in your defense, I hope you garnished some laughs =P.

Yes, we all must bow down to the multi-talented super smart Charlie's Angels-like glory that is our Heatherbeast! Whee! I showed my wife the awesomeness that is the afformentioned publication and she agreed with me that Fusi rocks our socks! :worship: and indeed, those E. coli are way cute, and scary when they smile! *get out the bleach!*
