What really captures my attention is the way you've done the hair. The detail of it, the colour and how it fills up the upper portion of the picture. I really like that. The way it splays out has a very natural look to it and I like it even more how natural it feels, not overly shiny or reflective. Just like real hair.
As for the owl, it is most gracious to allow her that hug, she looks like she needs it. Lastly, I like how you've framed in on a bed of leaves, it makes the picture tell a little story of some place where this is happening, something surreal or a little grotto in the woods as a little sanctuary for her sanity. lol Maybe a little creative interpretation, but well done!
