Nope, not gay behavior. That's one dog saying "I out rank you" to the other. Same reason why some dogs will hump the leg of somebody they've just met.
Gay as in these are personas of my partner and myself. They're not really meant to act too much like dogs since they're pretty much mainly drawn as anthros.
