And this is exactly why I hate people like you: You always ruin good fanfictions/comics by complaining that Spike isn't in it, even though the show is called "My Little PONY", not "My Little Ponies and Dragon".  Did it not occur to you ignoramuses that the reason Spike isn't in this is because he's with Twilight in Canterlot helping her with her Princess duties?  But no, because Spike's not seen or mentioned at all, you all automatically assume the writer/artist hates him.  God, you cunts are annoying!

Sorry for the rage comment; I'm really sick and tired of fantards ruining good MLP fanfictions and comics by complaining on the review pages that Spike isn't in them.

First, it's already ruined due to its character prejudice.

Second, just because it's called My Little Pony, does that mean that ponies are the only ones we should care about? It's also called "Friendship is Magic" not "Friendship is for Ponies."

Third, you just explained exactly the thing that I hate about this comic: the ponies only want Twilight back from Canterlot, but don't seem to give a crap about Spike.

Wouldn't you be upset if people constantly left one of mane six out of everything, and none of the others ever seemed to care that one of their friends was missing?
If Spike's presence actually would have added something to this comic, I could get where you're coming from.  But in fan content like this, where Spike has nothing to do with the topic being discussed and shoeing him would have actually detracted from the joke being made, it just seems like you're needlessly griping over something that has nothing to do with the topic being discussed at hand (especially since this comic is supposed to be being played FOR LAUGHS!)

It would have added something to the comic. By mentioning him at least once, the artist could have indicated that the only friends he has give more than a shit about him. Instead, they're going on and on about just Twilight. One mention of missing Spike and Twilight equally wouldn't have been even slightly detrimental to the buildup to the joke.
And this is why you're ruining it: You're taking a comic that's supposed to be a joke and being all serious about something that has absolutely NOTHING to do with the subject being brought up then being a dick about it like everyone else who complains about Spike missing from this sort of thing.

As I recently heard from another reviewer replying to the same complaint you're bringing up: "There's asking why Spike isn't in a fic and there's being a dick about it.  Guess which option you've followed (hint: it's not option one)."

I'm only being as dickish as the ponies in the comic are. :)
You want to know why the girls don't mention Spike at all in this comic?  I can give you two possible interpretations why:

1.  How many teenage/young adult people do you know who would actually care about their best friend's annoying douchebag kid brother?  As far as I know in both TV and real life, the answer is a big fat zero.

and 2. I know this contradicts my first reply to you, but did it not occur to you that Twilight might have left Spike in charge of the library while she was getting her Princess training because she knew that he couldn't bear to be separated from the friends he's made since they've arrived and they're on their way to see him?  You immediately assume the worst about them without considering the other alternatives as to why he's not mentioned.

The sad thing is, you and other fans who complain about Spike being missing from fan content are actually starting to make me hate him more as a character when before, his actions in "Bridle Gossip" were the only thing I held against him.  It gets especially worse when you consider that you're taking a minor piece of a non-serious joke comic seriously, which give me the impression that you're nothing but a humorless troll.

Well, I'm sorry my words are pushing you to hate Spike (who is anything but an "annoying douchebag kid brother", as it's been established that the ponies love having him around), that's counter-productive for both of us. I like your interpretation of off-screen events, though. I shall keep that as headcanon.
