Sad news maybe. But from a pure business stand point. What have the studio made the last 10 years that made a impact. Their glory days are gone. The people that brought us the Monkey Island games have not been with the studio for years. And the less said about Star Wars Kinect the better 
So I understand why Disney closed the studio and I will let other (and more skilled)game studios work the IP's in the future. LucasArts where a great studio once, yes. But the truth is that some of the better Star Wars games that have come out on last gen and current, was not made by LucasArts.
