The irony that the same negative reaction you have seeing MLK in a hoodie, is the EXACT same reaction millions of people have when they see young black men in hoodies at night... This is your opportunity to walk in their shoes... use it as an opportunity for compassion and start seeing everyone as human beings no matter what they're wearing or their skin color.

It's not about Trayvon having a hoodie on it's about how he acted towards Zimmerman. When he aporched him. Bottom line. I wear a hoodie all the time and people tell me all the time to put down the hoodie so I can see who you are. I don't go off on them. I have no problem telling people who I am. I have had guns thrown in my face because people did not know who I was. I'm from philly I'm the only white boy in my neighborhood. All around me is gangs. So don't tell me about no hoodie.
