Sorry, my country's much worse right now.

Yes, I see. I did not realize that you are a Venezuelan.

Sorry, it's just that it gets me kinda pissed off when people in MUCH better situations (Economical, political, social...etc) complain about their countries, the USA is a paradise compared to here.

I understand your pain, but it seems like a bad idea to pretend that problems don't exist just because they are worse elsewhere. Its almost like a stain. If art like this doesn't bring issues to the fore early, by the time people catch it the "could be worse" becomes "is worse".

Give us a few years, we might just surpass Venezuela yet. By comparison the US is much better, but we are going down the slope of tyranny as well. You are, sadly, just further down the line of that hellhole.

This is true. I'm not saying Obama is a tyrant like Chavez(sp?) was. And our food issues aren't nearly as bad as yours. I'm just saying that while grass might be a lot greener here in the US, it's slowly becoming brown. We may be far away from being like Venezuela, but we're headed in your direction with civil liberties being rolled back, like with the PATROIT act allowing the gov't to make warrantless wiretapping of citizen's phones, and then there's the National Defense Authorization Act, which allows the President to detail anyone he thinks is a terrorist. Then there's the mega-rich buying out our politicians, becoming their guard dogs and subsidizers instead of serving the citizens they are supposed to serve.

I apologize if I offended you.

But you guys've got a great economy which isn't collapsing daily. You've got food supplies and what tyranny? I don't think Obama's a tyrant...

Believe me, I understand. I've spent considerable time in China, where most people don't even discuss politics. They have been acculturated to consider it "rude." It takes a very brave person to openly ay anything critical of the government, especially the local government, where it seems the local party hacks are especially sensitive and brutal.

Good luck to you. Let us struggle to assure that real freedom returns soon to the homeland of Simon Bolivar!

I hope, it'll be decided tomorrow :S
Although approximately 60% of the country are ignorant poor people who would sell their vote to a food basket or a little money in their bank accounts.
