i asked it because i heard something (my memory is fuzzy) that said that the first time the concept of a bat mech suit appeared in the batman beyond show.
Yeah, I think so too. Batman (the elder) had a exo-suit that would make him many times stronger, but it strained his heart too much.

Well... I don't remember the date, exactly, but Frank Miller's "The Dark Knight Returns" has Bats wearing an exo-suit against Superman, but that's an alternate universe, see?
