5 inches wingspan and 8" long ? OO not only is it gorgeous, it's HUGE!! XD No offense meant to fairies, but they stand no chance. he's too beautiful.
Maybe he was a lil' cold ? since your place was slightly too far north and their arrival is recent. Would explain him being so docile. That or he "felt the love"

One of the biggest moths on this continent ^^ And one of the rarest to see, since they only live for a week. Might have been a little cold; it was overcast and rainy that day. Either way, he was a very obliging model and didn't seem to mind being touched.
