You might be able to adjust the white balance on your camera to stop photos being yellow (even if you don't have a fancy camera). Look at the manual to find out how to do it on manual mode. Or, if you only have an automatic mode, your camera probably does auto-white-balance, which means if you're focussing on something white when you set the focus for the camera, it should come out a more normal tone (I think).
