Did you hatch/find that shiny yourself?
Lol I had a friend who hatched a shiny Dratini after months and months of trying. And then in black to they gave out a shiny one and he was soooooo pissed.

I WAS TRYING TO GET ONE FOR SO LONG but I gave up cause wow shinies. I DO have a shiny luxray though! *v*

I guess you haven't played the newer games? If you go through the black tower in black 2 (or probably the tree in white, but I don't have that) you get a free shiny grachomp or dratini... Kind of stupid, but I needed a garchomp so I did it anyway. ^^'
