I used to carry the 72-108 lens with me exclusively, and so I'd end up nearly macro-ing shots (like this one) without even realizing it. It was only when I started running aroudn with the 35 and 50mm lenses that I realized what "macro" meant; you can't get that kind of DOF with short lenses.
