So I guess because Checkov's girl friend is the NEW Mary Sue of that verse, the Mary Sue aspect they brought instantly lose her powers because Mary Sues are "me me me!" so there can't be more than one per universe, she's been cut off from the collective.

Actually Chekhov's girlfriend is a canon character. Maybe she might have been turned into a Sue, but she started out legit.
Given how some FF writers think, that makes PERFECT SENSE.
