One thing Gentoo taught me was the guts of the Linux operating system. It allows for a really deep knowledge of the behind the scenes workings. But after a while, who really cares. Now I am very happy to have something that simply just works well.
Though I have always been a tinkerer, so I think all that stuff is my nature anyway. I find myself peering into the seedy underbelly of Mac OS X. Give me some time and I am sure I will be hacking the hell out of this thing too.

They're better than Tango!.
Some refreshed jimmac GNOME icons are beautiful and using Tango! styleguide.
jimmac's art is beautiful, but you're packager .
OMG, I love it. It made my day, lol... *continues drooling over the beautiful pixel perfect icons* <3333
It's sooo perfect and it finally makes Tango usable for me. I could never stand Tango before, it was way too incomplete and unpolished and it bugged me to death. Although this set may not be quite as insanely complete as gperfection, it's still infinitely better than any other Gnome icon set out there, and I can finally take a break from the graphite suite for awhile.
Thanks so much for this and for all your work. Your themes are nearly the only ones I can stand using anymore, especially the icon sets. I'm way too much of a perfectionist and you're the only one who makes things look complete and polished enough for me
I'll miss your work a lot, but I'm glad that you've found a system that works better for you. I wish you all the best.
Thanks a lot for those comments. Yes, I too am a perfectionist (heh, does it show in my work?) and is the reason I theme at all. I, like you, can't stand "good enough" or anything that is anything but perfect.
This world would be so much better if people took that extra little bit of time to polish the rough spots. Again thank you for the really nice words It is users like yourself I cater my work to!
`karemelancholia is one of the most genuine deviants you could ever met. Always active and a true deviantART cheerleader and supporter in every aspect. You can always count on her to lend a hand or get involved, and you usually will find her doing large amounts of both at any given moment. She's consistently reports on contests around dA, showcases the efforts of her fellow artists and shows her charitable side through various activities. Besides all of this, she's a truly talented artist which is why she's an obvious choice for deviousness this month. Read More
