I thought it was basic and a good starting art program! It's got a simple tool bar with several brushes,  eraser and layer types
it was perfect for me to get used to using layers and adjusting brush settings, and getting to know layer types like multiply, normal, luminosity, etc :3

Oh, so it's a good starting on then! I started on using Corel and Sketchbook, and I've been using Sketchbook ever since. :giggle: It's also a simple art program, but it works for me. I thought of trying out photoshop, but photoshop just looks so complex and has so many tools. 0.0
What's SAI like, is it nice? :? That's the one you use, right?

SAI is lovely, offers a lot of customizing for tools/brushes ^^
And the interface is simple enough -- you have layers and layer effects in one panel, and colours and brushes in another panel. And I love that you can create keyboard shortcuts for any function you like (toggling different brushes, brush size, flipping the canvas, deleting selections, etc.

I may have to think of getting SAI sometimes in the future then, I've heard good things about it from other artists too. Thank you for telling me more about it! :la:
