I see it as Marvel shoving down the readers' throats the idea that X-Men and Avengers need to partner up. Given that I currently hate all things Captain America/Wolverine/Avengers, A+X isn't getting any brownie points from me 
Realistically, I can see the X-Men and the Avengers partnering, but not immediately spinning out of AvX. At least, not this fast.
