I think you can find Ice Resin at any standard craft store. I got mine from Hobby Lobby 
And yeah, I've had some disastrous experiences with the clay glazes they sell @_@ For the resin, the proportions aren't too hard if you get the type that comes in a 2-tube container with a plunger. Every time you push the plunger, exactly equal amounts should be dispensed. It's just a tad uneven sometimes so you have to be careful.
