This one doesn't look jurnalistic ...looks more like an artistic photo. Not that jurnalistic is bad... I just think artistic is better. :)

That was my goal. Photography is still an artistic medium, with the unique ability to capture a moment exactly as it was. It also allows the photographer to choose what he wants to document, and how he wants to do it. This one definitely makes several statements, and it can do so because of the composition and selective focus. Bottom line is, photojournalism is still art, and benefits when the photographer sees it that way.

I am all for the first ammendemnt but it sickens me that that means I have tolerate these guys. But that is what makes us better isn't it.

I would've liked to see them have as many riot police of different ethnicties protecting them... that would've knocked them down a notch in pride i think. Plus I'm all for poetic justice.

oh they did. the police chief of Madison (I have a photo of him in front of the crowd) is a black man. And with 400-500 police, there were definitely hispanics and blacks and jews in there.
