AHEM, left to right (without looking at AKC) you have:
-Golden Retriever (it IS NOT A LABRADOR. Labradors do not have feathering. It's a fault.)
-Rough Collie
-West Highland Terrier (aka Westie)
-German Shepherd
-Akita
-Saint Bernard (which is much too small)
-Sharpei (also much too small)
-Dalmatian
-Airedale Terrier
-Red Setter
-Jack Russel Terrier
-Great Dane
-Yorkshire Terrier with show coat
-Great Pyrenees
-Border Collie
-German Shorthaired Pointer (note the short tail and the "point" pose. It gives the breed away.)
-Chow Chow (Not a Samoyed. Samoyeds, while white, are less dense and have that tall tell smile. Chow Chows do come in white.)
-Afghan Hound

There you have it, from one dog obsessed girl to all y'all. The question is.....did I get 'em? I didn't miss any lurking in the dark, did I?

I need a giant print of this to go on my wall. >.<

First up I am only going off what I can see and am basing the following on what my eyes are telling me and not the artist.

The Saint Bernard and Shar Pei are puppies, so their sizing is accurately depicted.

I believe it's a Wire Fox Terrier not an Airdale. Airdales, when fully grown, are bigger and going off the fact you are saying the Pei and Saint are too small, I am presuming you are basing your comment on him being at full height.

And the third to last dog is a Labrador. To me it looks like the dog is in motion, not 'pointing', (possibly to add some variety in the dogs poses?) and if its tail was as short as a GSPs it would look shorter than shown (it'd be more likely to stick up out of the top of the Samoyed's head if that were the case).

Just my two cents worth :)

It's a lovely piece of art regardless!

The Shar Pei and St. Bernards are most likely puppies know that I'm looking at it again, which then they would be proportionally correct.

I'm not saying I'm right you know. Some breeds look VERY similar, as in the case of the Airedale and Wire Fox, HOWEVER the brown dog is either a Setter or Pointer. Labradors have longer, thicker and fluffier tails (I owned one. Definitely know.) The paws are wrong for a Labrador too; they'd have to be splayed out a bit  Chest is too thin too. It's very much the profile of a sleek gun dog like a Pointer or Setter (both of which are known for the "point" pose.)

Of course, the artist could end the suspense and post all of the breeds for us!

Oh and btw I do have proof it is meant to be a samoyed: comments.deviantart.com/1/3875… <- Comment by the author. x)

I agree, except for the chow chow. It might be mistake of the artist, because a samoyed is just the nearest possible "big white dog" while chow chows in white are rather rare (As far as I know) x3 Chow chows have a different nose/face anatomy too. x)

It could go either way (even though he did say it was a Samoyed.) White (which falls into the category of cream) Chow Chows are actually quite common. None of the five colors of Chow (red, cinnamon, black, blue and cream) are rarer than the other.

I saw a Chow the minute I saw the white dog. Smiling Sammies (another name for the Samoyed) are instantly recognizable by the black nose, lips and outline eyes and the fact the lips are slightly upturned at the ends so they look like they are permanently smiling. That Sammy IS NOT SMILING. It looks more Chow-like without the smile. It needs a smile to be a Sammy (just one of those things that, as someone obsessed with dogs, just needs to be there.) It. Must. SMILE.

Sorry, I'm done with the smiling bit now.

lol xD Yeah I understand what you mean. XD -pat pat- I was just saying that it's supposed to be :3 Samoyed a great, but i mean it's probably just a mistake in its anatomy, like how small the shar pei is or the saint bernard... x'D

I think they are meant to be puppies. Shar Pei actually LOSE wrinkles as they age.

If only we humans did that.

haha yes omg xDD that would be awesome! And yep, shar peis are probably one of the few breeds i prefer as adults. XD What are your fav dog breeds anyways? Any preferences? :3

Um, I will pet and love any dog I meet. I will go gaga over said dog which is why it is very hard for my dad to drag me out of PetSmart in less than 5 minutes (his preferred time.) I have to pet all of the dogs. Every Coonhound, Yorkie (even though I'd never own the damned ankle biter. Oops, I may have revealed something there), Papillon, Labrador, Rat Terrier....I MUST PET IT...if I'm allowed to.

Owning? I prefer a dog 35-70 lbs and medium to very low on the large end. I've owned a Jack/Rat mix, Decker Rat Terrier (my current dog), Labrador and Greyhound. My Grey was 66 pounds, my Jack/Rat was 25. My Jack/Rat was too light and too short (14" at the withers) if you ask me. I guess I'm more of a manly man sort of dog person. I like medium, sleek, gun dogs....or racing dogs. My Decker is 17" at the withers at 36.5 pounds. She still trips me up, but she's perfect couch companion height and length (you can't say that with a Grey.)

There's something to love with all of the breeds. I'm just a dog lover!

Oh! And yeah same here. I really adore all kinds of dogs, but since dog owners might feel uncomfortable if I pet their dog I very rarely do so. I'm more the taller-sturdy dog person, a male hovi is just my type of dog. Sadly I don't own any but I will as soon as I have enough time, space and money. =) But since that is going to take a couple of years I have had enough time to 'prepare' xD But I still can't decide on which breed I would prefer. And there's always people saying "Oh you never owned a dog before you should start with a starter dog!" and that kind of annoys me, because I do understand how to 'train' (Socialization... everything ) a dog and I know quite a lot of people who own dogs (Well behaved ones). It always disturbs me when I see people being led by their own dog. :'D The lab in my neighborhood even snarled at me, his tail pointing upwards because he was 'leading his human' x'D So I looked away. But I also love sighthounds, like a Saluki (with feathering x) ) Greyhounds are great too, but those small dogs who barely get trained are just plain annoying. :'D

It's great to hear that I'm not the only one being 'obsessed' by dogs =P

Red setter is another name for the Irish Setter, by and by. Just in case any of you are scratching your head going, "What's a Red Setter?" It's the common name for the Irish considering that's its color. Red...Irish....I call it both. XD

I forgot to erase Great Pyrenees! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK!!!! Sorry!
