Thanks so much!
Yes, I started to sketch some things and then I thought "You know, what makes a monster look like it belongs in the universe of MI?" They're great films; MU did not disappoint!

And thank you - I like gradients and I love that deep shade of purple.

Of course!

It's a good thought to have! I'd actually been taking a bit of a leery view towards MU, but I've read a little (tiny) bit about it now and may give it a chance. We'll see! :)

It's a gorgeous shade; and the red makes it stand out even more. Vice versa, too. :D

I went in expecting MU to just be a silly, funny film that had fun with the characters and the quirkyness of the monster universe, but it added a lot of character to Mike and Sulley, and they even managed to expand Randall a bit. It had ups and downs in the story just like any good Pixar film, so I was really impressed.

I saw the trailer and assumed it to be a slightly-painful movie trying to be funny and silly at the characters' expense. Everything I've heard tells me I took far too dim a view of things. Especially considering this is Pixar. :XD: If I do find the time to go see it, it will be with a much more open mind now!

Well, I can kind of see how one might get that idea from the trailers. I went in with hardly any idea f how things would play out and I kept my expectations pretty neutral - I just expected to laugh and enjoy those fun monster characters again. I do hope you get to see it after the DVD release. ^^ It broke my heart, it was wonderful. And honestly my heart is still broken because in the end the story is actually really tragic for a couple of the characters. But I won't give it away - just be warned that I thought it was.

Yeah, I think I'll definitely keep an eye out for it. :) (Gah sorry for the late reply. Distracted as heck recently.)
