why do people keep saying this? who cares? The artist took some creative license. It is his art so he can do what he wants.

didn't ask about specifics on some game I've never played. I wanted to know why when everyone sees an amazing piece of art like this they try to point out it's inaccuracies 
I dont know, maybe its because it get their attention. Altough this piece is really nice as player I dont even feel really that colour difference here, only thing that hurts me on this picture is that ancient apparition could be a bit transparent but its not worth mentioning on finished piece ^^
Perhaps that's true. I'm not much for playing video games (I haven't played a vid game since Halo 2) but I love the fanart that comes from them. I really like how the paint strokes are rough and evident on each character but the glowing effects are so smooth. but like you said It could be a little more transparent perhaps showing a little more of what is directly behind that cool guy with the sword. though maybe that would bring the focus off of him? IDK. It is a great painting nonetheless.
