:painter:  I always photograph my paintings flat on the floor in my well lit conservatory, and then crop as necessary.  :airborne:

:painter:  You are most welcome and of course you can call me Ann Marie.  If you have any programme than can alter the exposure etc, of your photographs, that can be helpful too to get the image looking more like your original work.  I think scanning watercolours can produce good results too, but I've not tried it myself.  :airborne:

I'll get straight to doing that for my latest painting. And I always thought that editing my photo would be cheating Sweating a little... it's true that the picture I take almost never looks like the real thing. So a little tweaking in picasa should do the job. Still, I think I need a new camera! Thanks, Ann. Meow :3

:painter:  I sell my paintings and a lot get shipped abroad, where people haven't actually seen the real image so it is very important for me to get the image I upload, to be as much like the original as possible.  A lot of my paintings have a lot of contrast or points of sunlight, and this can really fool a camera into under or over exposing.  :airborne:
