Forgive my lateness. I do. This should've been the official since gardevoir is a guardian pokemon whose name means "chevalier" or guardian (soldier).

I would have been tickled if they selected my Gardevoir as an official design XD
But yes! That's what I was going for with my design. I saw the name meanings and rolled with it.
Though, I can see why they made the design decision with theirs. But I don't personally think it really fits.

The main design is very feminine and ignores the male gardevoir and elegance as a whole. They should have done a knight-like style or an angel for the meaning, not a bell-flower.
Yeah... I often wonder if they forgot that Gardevoir can also be a male gender. >.>;
I like pokemon that seem one gender but can be both. Machoke! For one.
