The trick with slit pupils is how to make them look good. I added a little shading around the eyes to make him look less deranged or bug-eyed. These new eyes also have a slightly wider pupil so the plushies with them will still look cute and have a softer look. But indeed, to me round pupils look off on foxes.
I see! Perhaps that's why it's hard to find a fox plush that uses vertical pupils (perhaps people aren't aware that foxes have vertical pupils, since that's not normally a canine trait?). I only have one that does. Of course, I'm not that fussed about it, I love all of my fox plushies regardless (it is a nice touch of realism, though!)
Anyway, the eyes look perfect and the plush is looking very cute!!! Can't wait to see it finished!
