Tequila Mockingbird (Or was it To Kill a Mockingbird?) had a major character named Atticus Finch.  Read the book, it's considered a classic.

How?  How can you consider yourself alive without partaking in horror or something well written every now and then?  Life without The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and The Last Wish isn't worth living.

It is not a horror book, more of a "slice of life" book written to be realistic. It's based during the times of Slavery.
Atticus Finch is a lawyer who was assigned to defend a black suspect in a murder case. It does not get down-and-gritty horrifying; more-or-less it is just a slice-of-life story told from a viewpoint of a little girl.

And btw PyramidHead, for clarification, the book is called To Kill A Mockingbird.

And I hated the book, just as I hated The Giver and a few other books I was forced to read. Though, now that I think of it, it wasn't too bad really. Gotta give every book some credit.

He was accused of rape, not murder. I'm reading the book in school now.

Also i read the The Giver in 7th grade, it was ok but i wouldn't have read it on my own free will.
