I am kind of limited because I am working on an iPad with only iPhone and iPad apps. There are times I would love to be able to emulate some of the things I see here on DA, but I am limited to what I have to work with. I do enjoy practicing, trying new things, and trying to see if I can obtain some photoshop like effects. You're right, sometimes when you play, it works out nice and sometimes notsomuch, but it is nice when it pans out. 
its a great feeling, especially when you struggle and struggle, then finally it all pans out lol. Working with just an ipad and apps is pretty impressive, as I have just seen some of your works. Dont let anything limit you, I have every confidence you will get to where you need to be, limited resources or not, your gallery is creative and original, so keep reaching
