They usually tend to be mostly depressing. Which does make sense in the aspect of, whether or not he plays the dominant or submissive role, Kyle's characteristics and general status in the series tend to give him a short tempered attitude with low self esteem. Because he's shown to be generally conscious of himself like when declared the ugliest boy or having his best friend insult his head wear. Or being left for dead by his friends for being "too butch" and not having any sort of real reconciliation because he was being a "fag". So the low self esteem isn't very far fetched. I usually feel sorry for him too.
And the general fandom prefers Kyle to be the bottom bitch (despite so many reasons why he's most liable to top). Sure there are handfuls of dominant!Kyle, but the prior mentioned is the most acknowledged really.
It's not too hard to find ones with Stan dealing with the internal conflict, but Kyle's the more liable candidate for them. Though, usually I find Stan ones similar whenever I'm looking at Cran fanfics. Some for Stenny too, but not too much. Those pairings themselves aren't super high up there. I mean, I did make a picture based on Stan and Craig themselves and their ideal themes based upon situations they deal with and how the react and such.
I guess when it comes down to it, people think Kyle is small and Stan is like idk, more masculine. But I personally like Kyle to be the bottom bitch. Probably because he's small and cute and girly-ish.
I used to read Stenny all the time. It was a favorite pairing of mine, but Crenny is better.
