Pretty good! All done with College/Uni with a degree in Animation so I finally feel like a full fledged adult. It was intense hard work but I made it! ; ∇ ;

Now I just freelance here and there until I can find a more permanent job.

OMG YOU'RE A BIG GIRL NOW :heart: Congratulations!!!

That's really cool bro, are you enjoying the freelancing life? I've never done proper freelancing and I'm afraid to venture into it later in my career;

Thanks! :heart:

Yeah, I'd say it's pretty cool! At least the thing I like most about it is being able to manage my own hours and work on things whenever I want to work on them basically. There's no commute to worry about or car/bus system to deal with.  You can also kind of manage how much you do or don't do by how many projects you take.  I'm mainly just comparing this to jobs where you have to sit at a desk and work your designated work time, but I know there are some other setups out there too.

 Where I live in the US there are some animation companies, but they're smaller and mostly focus on 3D and/or advertising.  Since I work 2D, and am more interested in film and cartoons it's not as easy for me to find a place to work at right away. But I'm sure I'll find something. The fact that I love illustrating should help too. There's a big illustration community around here, that I hope I can become a better part of.

The commute thing is such a huge advantage homg saving fuel money lol.

That's interesting you say that, 3D seems to be the only thriving form of animation in Australia too. Rarely are there any 'big' animation companies that specialize in 2D... I would have thought the US would have bigger chances in that. Yeah, it's good to keep your options open! The more things you're interested in, the more jobs you'd find that would suit you :) I hope you can find something permanent and fulfilling soon!

Thanks so much! :heart:
Yeah, lol there are fewer choices in the US than you'd think. They outsource most of it, so the only big positions for 2D are in independent companies or as part of production/storyboard in a place like Cartoon Network or Nickelodeon, even Disney outsources. The biggest 2D countries I know of at the moment are Japan, Korea, France and Canada.
