Nice piece of work. I can see the thought that went into it ... is the overing on her head hair or her hood?
Its a hood. 
I hadn't really thought too deeply on her hair style, but when designing this I was inspired by Lisbeth Salander from The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, so I would think she'd have a very radical hairdo.
