I just REALLY wanna make the iOS7 dock work.  I'm new to customizing a Mac, as I've spent the majority of my life using Windows.  I'm not sure how to open/use the file " *..dockthemes "...

Read the description on the page and the other guy explains how to make it work.
"iOS 7 style Dock WIP/Test

This is just something i've been messing with.

Dock background was created with a GeekTool shape, the centered menubar Clock was made with GeekTool as well.

Original Mavericks dock background was made transparent with the beta version of DockMod www.dockmod.com

The download is just a transparent theme for use in DockMod."

I downloaded the beta for DockMod, as well as GeekTool.  I don't particularly understand GeekTool.  It's not a UI that's especially friendly for the new-to-Mac person.  Seems like a simple Script manager, but with the scripts called 'geeklets'.  Even so, I JUST want the dock, and not the other peripheral features shown in your preview.  Which raises my question more specifically - "What's a GeekTool Shape?"  I tried looking for that, but couldn't find anything to do with shapes in the app... Though, I do like the shadow removing tool I also downloaded.

A geektool shape is just a shell with fill color.
