seiner fleet systems finally made something less laughably pathetic than the TIE/ln fighter.

Haha yeah I always thought that Sinar Systems could do something better than suicide ships :)

"TIE fighters, after hydrogen and stupidity, are the most common resource in the galaxy"
they can build them by the hundreds. there actually pretty deadly in numbers greater than 4...

Haha yeah in some instances they were better and sometimes they were useless. In Rogue Squadron games you could get them by dozens in an A-wing that had its shields down, but in TIE Fighter/X-Wing games they could take on Rebel fighters with a little help of wingmates. For me though, TIEs will always be the worst thing in the galaxy :D

TIE defenders are pretty intimidating. their a pretty good match for a X-wing, can kill Y-wings with little problem, easy prey for an experienced E-wing pilot though... then again, E-wings are pretty powerful.

oh yeah, the Defender was a really cool thing. I've been replaying TIE Fighter lately and had a lot of fun with it. Not digging the missile boat though, as it has a pretty poor laser.

if i was building my fleet, i would probably use a few headhunters, old ARC-170s, anything that was old and therefore cheap, but not necessary bad. i'd use nubian B frigates as makeshift escourt carriers, can carry 24 fighters pretty good for a small ship.

From what I remember, Headhunters were the worst Rebel ships in TIE Fighter :) You could take them on with a standard TIE and one missile from anything else got the job done.
