I watched this earlier this year with my parents, who of course have already seen it, and I really enjoyed it. I kind of don't want to see the remake because the original was so good.
I don't blame you. I have not seen the "Fright Night" remake - but the trailer gave me the impression that it totally missed the point of what made the original "Fright Night" so great. The original "Fright Night" was a tribute to the old fashioned style of horror movie. The trailer for the remake looked like a Marilyn Manson video or something. That's not "Fright Night" to me.
Exactly. As much as I support vampires and vampire movies I still did not think that it looked like an awesome remake. All it did was make me want to watch the original. I liked the kind of hokey feel the original had. It was cool that it was an old fashioned style.
