Huhu, you're right, but as said previously in other comments, this is my vision of Maripony. 
There was no description of the exterior part of the base in Fallout: Equestria, so everyone imagined it in their own way. I played Fallout 1 & 2, but somehow, Maripony looks different in my mind. But it doesn't have to affect your canon, after all, I don't want to ruin everyone's ideas.
