Thanks for the info! :D For whatever reason I was thinking that foxes and dogs didn't share the same genes. But now that you said that I can see a lot of the fancy colors are just normal dilutions, not special genes or whatever. 

And yeah it is wild! I didn't take the picture but the fox is from the San Juan islands, which were originally captive breed foxes who were released into the wild, according to the article :)

That's really cool, I wonder what other mutations exist there and if they hinder/help their hunting ability at all. I'd love to see a Marble fox strolling through my backyard!

From what i can see from google most are red, cross, silver, pearl, and cinnamon. Just look at this guy, hes beautiful! farm4.staticflickr.com/3237/36…
