You take great offense at a statement that wasn't directed at you, or meant as a slight to the artist. I didn't use crass or explosive vulgar language to simply say "stupid" or something else similarly said often without thought on comment threads. Instead of raging on a person who actually has a negative opinion, instead of the normal numerous posts of people finding different ways to say they like the art, how about you take the high road. I prefer to follow Voltaire's sentiments: "I do not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it."
I greatly enjoy Seijic's work, including his humorous superhero jokes, and raunchy sunstone comic; which I can't wait to purchase. If you like his work on this book, I hope sincerely that you purchase it to support him and top cow. They could use the purchase. I try to support them as much as i can since i know their books only sell on average between 5-10k copies. This story concept is just not what I would like to see from them, so i wanted to make that opinion known to someone who works with them in the hopes it could have some influence on future work even if i am in minority.
Passive aggressively... I'm sorry my use of medium sized words like frivolous makes you feel stupid? It's simply the reason why I did not want to purchase it offhand. I'm not even sure how I could make that phrase more simple without losing meaning. Why would you insult someone over use of vocabulary? lol. I don't know if you live in America, but that kind of growing anti-intellectualism in our social culture that scares me.
