For an idea, You should make publishing artwork into groups without having to submit it first.
Like the " Featured in Groups " should go inside the submit page and you can just select the groups you want it in and the subfolder for it.
It would save a lot more time in my opinion...
Maybe it would save time, but not all artwork submitted to groups is acceptable, copyright-allowed, or allowed by the groups standards! (Not to mention often miscategorized. I often have to decline submissions because people submit things to the wrong folder, or aren't following our Featured Folder rules.)
IF you want to save time in your group, ask your Admins to turn off the submission approval process! You don't need to be a super group to edit the administration settings; just go into the "Admin Only" area, should be under Manage Members, and for Members, use the Accept Artwork Automatically setting.
Bam, time saved.~
