Re-read this again. I really love little Inquisition's questions to Gilda and the donkey guard. The conversation she had with her mom works pretty good too. Inquisition may be rather a chirpy sort but she's pretty deep.
And there's this particular line:
"Because they weren't a sadistic monster, they didn't takes chicks and turn them into monsters, they didn't steal souls to add to their collection, they didn't obey Clockwork Orange Discord like they were a machine, they didn't kill someone, apologize, kill someone, apologize, over and over and OVER and never once actually CHANGE what they were doing! And because they haven’t been doing it for a thousand years!”
Poor Pinkie and Flutts, almost nopony will remember who they really were once. And who was the one who 'stole souls'? Rarigreed? I forget, does anyone in No-Longer-Dark World know that Princess Libra was once Rarigreed/Lady Desire?
And I really like that title, 'Clockwork Orange Discord'. Dissey would probably enjoy what happens to Alex in that story, though of course he'd rather turn it around and make him back into a sociopath. REAL horrorshow, my droog!
I like the description of how Inquisition drove the poor donkey to distraction in Grogar's dungeon, enabling their mass escape. Good 'inside' perspective there, from the POV of the temporary prisoners.
All in all, it's a great chapter. I hope we get a few more, based on the comments about Aquamarine and some of the other ponies.
