I really really like this submission.

The detail looks fantastic, very modern with a good combination of features without it seeming too cluttered.

The shading also looks superb, very excellent work with the light source.

The way you have the lines implied by the colors rather than drawn directly makes it look very smooth; the effect really enhances the image and I wish that I knew how to do that.

The character also looks interesting as well, you did a good job mixing anthro and human features and I think the character looks very cool.

Awesome work on this character, this is probably one of the most interesting expertly done modern Anthros I've ever seen.

Keep up the good work.

Thank you very much for such a great comment!

I tried to do my best with this drawing and I'm glad that you like it!

I guess these smooth lines I got because of the method of drawing I used here - I drew the basic shape of the character first. Just as a dark spot. And then added details to it. This is why lines are often mixed with colours here. And when I draw pictures with visible lines I draw detailed linearts first. So lines are more noticeable. I'm the master of explanation...

Thank you one more time! I'll try to practice more and become even better ^^

No problem, I used to moderate for a group a while back so I have some practice conveying critiques.

Well I was glad I ran into this page, as I really though it was one of the best modern anthros I had yet seen, I'm honestly surprised you don't have a lot more views given the quality of your artwork.

The only time I've been able to replicate the smooth lines effect is if I draw the colors in layers on top of each other and then delete the outlines, but it really only works for me when it's not the outer edge of the character. Also I sorta get what your saying, you start with a silhouette, then add details to that, then colors.

Of course, practice always yields greater results over time, typically one gets better without even consciously trying to do that in the first place.

Anyway, great job. Good luck with future art.
