Nikon D7000, Sigma 50mm 1.4 and it does not matter.

That is very true. 
I just seem to notice a far superior image quality coming out of Nikon cameras. I have a decent Canon camera body and an L series lens, but I can't seem to reproduce the same technical quality!

Type of camera, doesn't matter as an image is only as good as the glass it's passing through I learned. That in addition to the person behind the lens.
Well THAT is certainly true. ...I guess I mean that if the same person were to take the same picture with two different cameras, my eye would perceive the Nikon as having the better quality. I guess it's subjective!
