Basically, @Natasallincic, Kratos's son Atreus is revealed to be named "Loki" by his mother Faye, the second wife of Kratos who's revealed to be the Jotuness Laufey.
Thankfully, Santa Monica Studio did an interesting take on the parents of Loki; and that take is truer to the myths.
