You're able to configure GIMP to your tablet? Dude, if you could tell me how I'd really appreciate it!

Are you having trouble with it? I didn't really have to do anything special, but I can try find out for you?

I originally only got the wacom to animate a short film in Flash and then decided to start drawing in gimp to practice digital art. I do use a pretty big monitor now though - I think it's either a 27"  or 28.5".  Some of my earlier stuff was just done on a laptop with the wacom  or on a touch screen tab in photoshop touch! You can really see a difference between my newer stuff but I think some of that is to do with practice too.

Can't wait to upgrade to a cintiq! This old bamboo has served me well though! :D

I plug in my wacom bamboo, but any time I try to use it on GIMP specifically, it won't register that I'm using it. But move the mouse and it's all fine.

There could be a few things wrong - might be something wrong with the drivers. Or either your USB port/Wacom might be broke! Does it work on anything else? Do you need a battery for the pen?

I had to delete a some of the drivers that came with the little wacom disk that you install as it was interfering with flash, but I never had any trouble with Gimp.

You could also try re-install Gimp! You might need an update... I hope one of these things works for you!

I'll try updating it, but it does work on literally everything else that I use it on, though there is an annoying pause between my motions and the actual action on many.

Try uninstall the drivers and just use plug and play!

I'll look into that as well.
