Thank you very much, Tea, for putting my avatar in your dedication!  It's an honor to be there, my friend.  I suppose keys to cities would be a bit too large for jewelry?  Oh, well.  Such keys would probably be difficult to obtain, in any case.

I love your idea of "key jewelry" because all too many old keys no longer have access to the locks they once called home.  This way they can be carried about as in days gone by, appear in public and exchange yarns about the locks they once knew.

You are ever-so-welcome Joe, my friend! It's an honour for me that you have been so helpful and supportive. :aww:
Keys to the cities?? :D Hmmmm!
Well, that would be quite some *bling* there I think!

The thing about antique keys, is that on the one hand they are useless anymore, with not knowing where they belong and what they unlock anymore... but it give them this sense of mystery and wonder... which is just fun, but they look so interesting, too, that I think they shouldn't be hidden away in drawers! What better way to have them out and about, and as YOU have already stated better than I could... "exchanging yarns about the locks they once knew."

Tea, I'm picturing a whole flock of antique keys with little wings; and they're all flying to their former homeshomes which may no longer exist.  We should follow them!  It might be sad in many cases, though, watching some of them circling endlessly over expanses of asphalt where their homes once stood.  Of course, the tinier keys would probably be searching for jewelry boxes or desks....  No, it's too sad.  Never mind.
