Fucked up world this is. I still dont see how any kind of armor, even if its completely fireproff, could protect you from the size of those jaws. Any animal of that szie should be able to completely crush  a human being.

Human ingenuity always finds a way, and it's not like they were climbing into its mouth. In fact, I am under the impression that they tried very hard not to be inside of its mouth; they also ambushed it.

Actually, no.  Scientists will tell you humans could have never survived dinosaurs, let alone far bigger and deadlier (and usually intelligent)  flying dragons.  Mankind would only survive if such dragons permitted it, which makes this artwork, and most other 'dragon slayer nonsense' rather ridiculous, despite the quality of the work.

Have you thought of the fact they might've used siege engines? Trebuchets? Ballistas? Catapults?

If you get your kicks by arguing to death about the feasibility of dragon poaching in artwork, well then who am I to stop you. But a note: Your entire position is rather ridiculous, because 'dragon slayer nonsense' could be very appropriately shortened to 'dragon nonsense,' yes, in case you hadn't noticed, dragons themselves are a figment of the human imagination and your 'scientific' arguments are a joke considering how silly the prospect of such creatures really is.
