The reptile skin will be on the back and the fur on the belly. So it have to look like the upper survace is "cooled" down, like a film of stone is on a hot but slow lavastream - as my plan is. I hope it works.
Oh, that sounds so interesting and unique! A great design idea 
Maybe I have to clip carfully away most of the black spots to make it more orange. What do you think?
