Because then we could say something nice and cool and alot of people like it and give it good comments and then they edit the comment to all bad stuff and then they make others look bad.
That's what I meant too, but you can hurt somebody by changing your comment that has a bunch of nice comments on it like "Cool, awesome". It would make them look bad.
