Yeah, he's great and I respect him. :) I wish I could meet him just to thank him, someday. And when Mario Maker comes I'll do my best to make decent levels because I want to honor my favorite game franchise. *tearful salute*

Oh, no problem! Looking over your gallery got me very nostalgic and warm. :) Keep at it!

haha my brothers and I would probably end up making "impossible" levels instead of actual good ones. that game looks like it's definitely gonna be fun~

eep I'll definitely keep drawing Mario stuff. idk how I could ever stop!! haha! but I love hearing people's thoughts on my work, and I'm glad to know that it made you feel nostalgic. that is a wonderful compliment, and I thank you for that. ;u;

Impossible levels are gonna happen for sure. lol I wanna do a level that's almost exclusively just jumping on Koopa Paratroopas while dodging some kind of hazards. Hair-pulling stuff. But I REALLY hope they allow "Worlds" to be created with about four levels each, because then it'd feel truly magical. *_*

You're welcome. :) There's definitely more to your work than just Mario, but my corny "Mario x Peach" fandom (which was particularly strong during my teenage years) flared when I saw your piece, and I remembered how I felt the first time I beat (or at least recall beating) a video game. Super Mario World. I, about five or six at the time, was so excited that I dropped the controller, ran to my family in another room and screamed bloody murder, "I did it! I beat Bowser and saved Princess Toadstool!" They were like "..." and I was like, "Yaaaaay!" To this day Super Mario and its characters are near and dear to me, and looking at your piece--no joke--reminded me of the feeling, of seeing Mario and Peach together.

So the least I can do is just make you uncomfortable by standing here and rambling way longer than I should. *Ramble ramble ramble*

omg no I love conversations like this!! ;u; that is such a cute story tho ksdjhdjkf

honestly, I can't really recall the very first Mario game I was exposed to. I wanna say it was probably Mario 64, but I never actually played it until years later. I went through a phase where I was obsessed with Mario x Peach, but then I thought it was dumb (you know, when you hit teenage years and everything is dumb haha), and now I realize just how much I love them all over again!! ^^

but gosh, I feel like an accomplished artist hearing you say stuff like that. I had hoped that my art would evoke those sorts of emotions. ;u;

eee I love Super Mario World. I played the original a while back, but I'm really bad at it. haha!! I can't play many of the 2D Mario games, unfortunately. I wish I were better at them.

Personally, Mario Sunshine was the game that really got me to love Mario and his world. I can distinctly remember wanting that game SO bad when I saw the advertisements for it in some magazine we used to get... and I can't even explain why that one in particular latched onto my heart and still hasn't let me go. ;o;

but anyway! I really do love hearing stories about other people's Mario experiences. They're all so fun and it makes me so happy. kfjdkgkj

PS: I actually am planning on drawing a series of Mario and Peach drawings at some point.... I just gotta come up with enough cute fluffy things to create a sketch dump of sorts. I'm open to suggestions, if you have any ideas!!

Haha, some happy/tender memories do stick with you, let's just say. :) And it's okay, we were all teens! I had my own angst and 'anti-things' just 'cause moments. I'm a big Disney fan and even I had a brief yet surly 'anti' phase. lol

Some of those 2D Mario games can be rough (try playing The Lost Levels, aka Japan's SMB2. Even I haven't beaten it yet), but I'm really glad that Nintendo still keeps them in circulation in one way or another. And Super Mario Sunshine is also a happy memory! Remember those parts where you had to go through the course without the use of FLUDD? Shadow Mario snatching FLUDD and waving just before starting was like him taunting you. lol "Good luck with THIS, pipsqueak." I can't believe it's been 13 years already, wow. Well, about 13 anyway. The GameCube was the first gaming console I ever bought by my own means, and I still remember it to this day. Luigi's Mansion was my launch title!

Oh, sorry. Ramble. I really dig your art style. I checked out more of your stuff and, yep. Japanese-fashioned Mario and Peach. Watch well spent. And Ace Attorney? Yeah, Ace Attorney and Professor Layton are my bread and butter.

I HAVE ENVY! I can't draw worth spit, but I do write fanfics and some original stuff. So that's my balance. :P But even if I can't draw I'm totally right and entitled to nod approvingly.

Haha, a suggestion/idea! Careful, you're in DeviantArt and you're asking a total stranger. ;D I would have suggested Mario and Peach in traditional Japanese clothing, but you beat me to the punch! Cute and fluffy... hmm... Well... there is ONE thing that came to mind, but it's a very silly one: Mario and Peach in, like, the "Jolly Holiday" clothes from Mary Poppins. Her in a summer dress and him all dapper and bright. Yeah. My inner teenager probably suggested that. Sweating a little...  But if you prefer them in their normal clothes but in fluffy situations, then maybe Peach and Mario telling a campfire story to little Toads? *shrug*

OH MY GOD

OMG Hdfjkghdfg That is a PERFECT IDEA FOR A MARIO x PEACH THING THANK YOU :'DD my god i can already picture it wow help my heart

ok ok lemme calm down for a moment haha

*clears throat* anyway - yeah, I've tried playing the lost levels (we have Mario All-Stars for the SNES) and I really suck at it. :c I can play the 3D ones... except for Mario 64. Which is a shame, because I love that game.

My siblings and I still play Sunshine on a regular basis. We've gotten to the point where we know exactly how to beat the game 100%, so we just keep making new files every time. it's sooo much fun and we come up with so many jokes when we play it ;u;

omg I haven't drawn Ace Attorney in quite some time! I'm currently stuck on Mario right now, it seems. haha. but yes - I love the AA games, as well as Professor Layton. I used to draw PL stuff all the time, but that was before I had dA so none of those old drawings will ever get posted!! haha!!

yes, I knew I was asking a stranger, but with the way you were talking about how you see Mario and Peach's relationship, I felt like you'd come up with something innocent and super cute. And you DID. ;u; thank you~

Haha! I'm humbled you like the idea, thanks!

Lost Levels/SMB2 is a beast, but someday I will tame it! Poor Mario and Peach, even when they go on vacation they're stalked by trouble. D:

It happens! There's a ton of stuff I left behind while transitioning from past to present.

You're welcome! I'm glad to have helped in any capacity, however small. As long as -you- want to do it and as long as it makes you happy, then that's all I ask for. Oh, by the way, I'm Joseph, but I usually go by Joe. *cyber handshake* A pleasure, Audrey! Yes, my handle is not in fact my real name. lol
