Oh man that is crazy, so many things it could be like immature acorns dried up, to possibly eyes. In this case I feel one is only limited by their own imagination as to what it could represent; otherwise, well done, and worth that DD. 
you see this is what I enjoy about making my artwork. it is the endless associations that everyone can make. Free association is something that can make people realise something within them. and here you understood exactly that the work, and generally most artwork, is somewhat dependent on the eye of the beholder.
